What is Awana?

The name Awana is an acronym that stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. It is taken from the Bible in II Timothy 2:15 which reads, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”

Our hope is that all club members will develop faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and then build on that foundation to become obedient servants of God.

Awana at FBC is staffed with volunteer leaders who are church members. Each is chosen for their commitment to Jesus Christ and their love for children. These men and women are concerned about each young person and spend many hours training and preparation for this ministry.

Our AWANA club runs through the school year and is from 6:30-8:00 PM every Wednesday evening.

Awana is open to all children in our surrounding communities, ages 3 through 8th grade. Please email fbckoutsawana@gmail.com or pastordoug@fbckouts.com for any questions you might have.
